A Victorian purple paste seal.
The image of a family, safe under the protection of an all-seeing eye. Beneath the eye of providence we have imagery representing Truth and love, being a hand with a heart in the palm surrounded by a laurel wreath for victory, an heraldic shield, an anchor and a variety of religious symbols. Loads going on for a fairly naive seal.

Octagonal, north/south orientation.
22 x 18 x 4 mm.
Good antique condition, however there is a sizeable chip at 5’o’clock, this does not impinge on the motif but makes it unsuitable for setting.
