Quite A Trip
Quirky carnelian intaglio
Imagery of a shield containing three swans’ heads in profile, topped with an elephant’s head, also in profile
Why we love it
Unexpectedly, deliciously trippy. We’re thinking tangerine trees, cellophane flowers and girls with kaleidoscope eyes.
Though perhaps not as marshmallow pies as it seems.
The swans are synonymous with beauty, serenity, grace and harmony. And they’re so much more than a pretty face and feathers. Cross them or threaten their kin and they are F-I-E-R-C-E! Ask an eagle (if you happen to have any in your acquaintance) – swans have been known to see off the king of the skies, sending them homeward with their tail between their talons. Honestly, in a fight, put your money on the swan.
With the elephant comes strength, dependability, gravitas and courage. The elder of the tribe. Wise, imposing, dignified.
Beat that for a top combo!
Wear as a talisman of wisdom to protect you in the most challenging of situations (and let’s face it there’s more than a few things to upset our equilibrium in this crazy world of ours).
Use it to remind you to channel your inner swan – poised, cultivated – even if you’re peddling for all you’re worth beneath the surface. And when it comes to insults and harsh words, develop the hide of an elephant.
Rise above the BS. Be gracious in the face of provocation. You are bold, brilliant, sagacious.
A stateswoman.
A warrior.
Know yourself. Feel your power.
Boss it!
