Tally Ho!

A Georgian carnelian intaglio featuring a running for and the overarching banner declaring ‘Tally Ho’. Hand-carved and unique.

Set as our classic pendant in recycled 14ct yellow gold with a diddy enabailer.

Why we love it

Oftentimes these intaglios are so great that there really is no great need than a classic but high quality setting.

Our classic pendant is perfect for daily wear and the colourway of carnelian against yellow gold is spectacular.

Tally Ho is a hunting cry, made upon first sighting of the quarry. A way that the horsemen roused each other and the hounds into a frenzy of activity.

It seems most likely that the etymology of Tally Ho is from the 13th century French battle-cry ‘Taille Haut’ which means ‘Swords Up’ pretty much.

If one frequents a particular genre of venue in the UK. Being one frequented by the alleged upper echelons; think Randy Andy in Tramps here folks, one might still witness some idiot toff  nudge a jolly good chum and utter ‘Tally Ho’ upon sighting an attractive ‘filly’.

Which isn’t actually funny. Or harmless.

So turn it right on its head and wear this pendant to ironically identify yourself as the fox.

The foxiest. Amen.

Flown away home.
