A Victorian paste doublet (sandwich) to mimic carnelian
The image of a cornucopia aka the horn of plenty, symbolic of bounty and fertility.

Oval, north/south orientation.
12 x 8 x 3 mm.
Very good antique condition however these doublets often lose colour when exposed to chemicals, immersed in water or exposed to bright sunlight over time.
