Why we love it
Here to serve you with the perfect spooky season vibes
The latest of our limited edition intaglio ingot line features three combined Victorian bangers. A skull, a belt (the keeper of secrets which holds all things in and is also representative of the inner circle that is a familial bond) and just about the most epic motto ever to have graced a seal: ‘To This Complexion We Must Come At Last’.
Painstakingly crafted in our gazillion step process that really sets our ingots apart from the other pendants in the marketplace hewn from original seals.
What’s the USP we hear you ask?
Well. In short form. Our ingot pendants are moulded, cast, cut, remoulded, recast and then mounted set, hallmarked and polished. Phew *takes breath*. The driver for all that graft is that the output pendants are identical to the original seal.
Why would anyone do something so pedantic and labour intensive though? Well, so that you guys can wear your ingot pendants AND use them as seals too. As with the original seals the motto is in reverse. So when you press into hot wax you can make an imprint that reads correctly. Pretty sure nobody else bothers with such faffy fine detail.
And if you love mourning jewelry, skull jewelry, memento mori or just a pleasurable tickling of Victorian goth we’d be stumped to imagine a better piece. Although we fully accept total bias.
And in talismanic terms what better reminder to us all that ‘We live but for a moment’ (Marcus Aurelius).
