Do Not Despair Intaglio
A carnelian intaglio beautifully carved featuring imagery of a crest with heraldic wolf, leaves around its’ neck and arrowhead markings on its’ body. The shield is abundant with imagery, with rams head, fleur de lis, anchors, starfish and chequered balls all present.
Latin motto ‘Nil desperandum’ meaning ‘do not despair’ or ‘never despair’.
