Vintage 18ct Gold & Ruby French Augis Plus Que Hier Moins Que Demain Pendant
A vintage mid-century Augis love token pendant
Crafted in luscious French 18ct gold with white gold and ruby accent details
Why we love it
An enduring symbol of enduring love, this vintage French love token is beautifully inscribed with the phase ‘+ qu’hier – que demain’ meaning ‘more than yesterday, less than tomorrow’.
The romantic phrase originates from the 1889 poem ‘L’Eternelle Chanson’ (The Eternal Song) by Rosemonde Gerard, written for her husband Edmond Rostand. In 1907 Alphonse Augis of Lyon adapted it into the now iconic medallion design.
