Maybe they found the perfect talisman jewelry, but they hesitated on finalising their purchase and were left in agony. Over time, the demand for particular intaglios became so high, that we simply needed to find a solution.
Enter the Intaglio Ingots. This is talisman jewelry at its finest, whether you're looking for an intaglio pendant or signet ring. We've identified the most beloved intaglios - and our favourites - and created a made-to-order solution that ensures you can get a representation of the original, even when the originals have completely disappeared into collectors' troves.
So, what exactly have we done?
As you know, intaglios and wax seals are designed so that when they are actually used by pushing the seal into wax, the result is readable. So, the intaglios themselves could be considered back to front in their original form.
We've taken the originals of the antique intaglios or wax seals, and we have made a mould of the cast. Of course, that would make the wording then the right way around - well, the right way around in terms of how we read. Not the right way around in terms of original intaglio design.
So, we cast them a second time, making the end result of the intaglio ingots the reverse wording, making sure they are far closer to the original design - plus, you can still use these intaglio ingots as proper wax seals!
This hugely intensive, multi-step process has created moulds for us that now, we can use to cast the ingots in your choice of metal. Solid - not plated - so it's going to last forever. That's right, whether you prefer sterling silver, rose gold, yellow gold, platinum or to follow the mixed metals trend, you can choose the ingot in one metal and the bail in another - the customisation options are completely up to you! It is YOUR talisman jewelry, after all.
That's not the end of it - your self love jewelry can be modified to include gemstones - think diamonds and rubies and sapphires (oh my!) to bring an extra dazzle or pop of colour to the design. Oh, you thought that was it? Come on. The design of the ingots also leaves plenty of space on the back for engraving. We can add a stunning hand-engraved message to the back of your talisman jewelry for that extra personal touch.
Of course, your custom made talisman jewelry will be Hallmarked for quality assurance at the Birmingham Assay Office in the historic Jewelry Quarter, with all the required marks as well as the Bauble Magpie Originals maker's mark.
