If you’re not sure where to start when it comes to choosing a symbol my advice is don’t overcomplicate it. You don’t need to sit there researching meanings or trying to pick the “right” thing on paper. It rarely works like that. Most of the time, it’s much simpler, something will catch your eye and just… stick. You’ll keep coming back to it, even if you can’t fully explain why. That’s usually the one.
The only real “rule” is to pay attention to what you’re drawn to, not what you think you should choose. Whether it’s a bird, a flower, a hand, something a bit unusual if it keeps pulling you back in, there’s normally a reason for that. And if you’re stuck, that’s where I come in.
