Magpies we need to talk about Christmas…
Now I can practically hear some of you shouting: “EMMA. IT’S SEPTEMBER.” And ordinarily, I would agree with you. BUT. The Bauble Magpie workbench is already starting to tell a rather different story. Commissions are coming in every week; lead times are getting longer and all those wonderfully personal pieces take time to get just right.
Finding the antique intaglio or seal. Deciding what it means to you. Designing what it should become. Choosing metals and gemstones. Making it. Hallmarking it. Finishing all those delicious little details. I will not rush that process just because Father Christmas has a deadline. The workbench is getting busier, the commission list is getting longer and I would much rather spend the next few months making something extraordinarily meaningful for you than have to tell you in December that we’ve run out of time.
