The literal translation of ‘Dis moi oui’ is ‘Tell me Yes’. However we would say the correct interpretation is more along the lines of an exasperated ‘Just say yes!’.

Combine that with the imagery of a dagger through a chubby heart and you get a real sense of drama going on here. The pain of love, the ups the downs, the will they/won’t they of a prospective partner who is indecisive.

And that is why we love this seal so. And, incidentally, this is a very rare motif. Emma snagged this knowing its scarcity and because she freaking loves it. It arrived as a damaged oval but we sent it off to our lapidary to rescue it and look at these mighty fine results! We love how the new shape is almost a heart itself, how fitting.

Think of the ruby as a drop of blood from a bleeding heart, that was Emma’s inspo for the design.
