Why we love it
Latin motto ‘Nemo me impune lacessit’, literally ‘no one attacks me with impunity’. Motto of that there Bonny Scotland pre 1707 union. Motto of The Royal Order of the Thistle (which is not something out of Harry Potter btw, it’s a real UK thang). Personal fave of HRH Princess Anne who, despite my general distaste for all things royal, strikes me as an all round sensible stalwart and strong woman.
It is fierce AF.
It is a line in the sand.
It is peak self care, self respect and self love.
