Why we love it
There is something incredibly cheerful about this intaglio and it is derived from more than the wonderfully whimsical rebus message
The amethyst itself is swoonworthy and generous, chunky and chubby, like some sort of jolly gemstone
The facet work is of the highest calibre with faceting around the front edge of the matrix and beautiful detail to the back of the stone
It is tough to describe but when Emma sees this intaglio it just makes her smile like none other, Emma is not woo woo and yet she feels a weird but undeniable cheer. It exudes warmth, whimsy and joy and Emma is convinced it has some sort of magical gift of good cheer imbued in it
