Romeo & Juliet Wax Seal
An antique paste seal mimicking rock crystal featuring text ‘Farewell though canst not teach me to forget’
Best served as our Closed Back Classic Pendant
Why we love it
The text is a line spoken by Romeo to his friend Benvolio in Shakespeare’s play ‘Romeo and Juliet’, during Act 1, scene 1.
Benvolio is trying to cheer up our protagonist by suggesting that he will forget Rosaline if he sees other beautiful women. Romeo however rejects the idea, saying that looking at other women will only remind him of how beautiful Rosaline is and therefore he cannot forget her – well, we all know how that turned out!
