Why we love it
The striation running through the agate stone is very special indeed, so pretty
The intaglio depicts a pansy, commonly seen in antique pieces, to symbolise thinking of someone special. It is a play on the French verb ‘penser’ to think which when spoken, of course, sounds much like ‘pansy’
Hence the pansy was adopted to symbolise being central in someone’s thoughts. Altogether now, awwwwwwwww
