Mighty Mustelid Intaglio
A hand carved and unique Georgian era carnelian intaglio depicting an heraldic crest of a mustelid
Why we love it
One of Emma’s favourite dad jokes of all time: What’s the difference between a weasel and a stoat? A weasel is weasily recognised but a stoat is stoatally different – Ba-doom-tish!
Emma thought this was probably an otter…….but once in hand she could not settle between otter, stoat, weasel or even a possible ferret!
Whatever creature this is Emma is fairly sure it is of the mustelid family…..that’ll have to do…..they’re cute, they’re clever and they’re furry, what’s not to love?
So; one for the mustelid lovers out of there….we know that there are plenty of you!
