Let’s Unite Wax Seal
This a Victorian paste seal which we have transformed into a shimmering wonder by making it into a doublet using an antique mother of pearl gaming chip
Why we love it
The imagery is of a handshake, we may be imagining it but we perceive that one hand is female and the other male, denoted by the size of the frilly cuffs, the male’s on the left being less fulsome and the female hand on the right and to the fore appears to be wearing a bracelet.
The seal is symbolic of a union, nuptials, a big ole blousy upcoming wedding underscored by the French phrase ‘Unissons’ which translates as ‘Let’s Unite’.
