A hastener of sweet dreams or a memento mori? The choice, pop pickers, is yours.

On a superficial level, this endearing intaglio suggests a cosy scene of Victorian night-time domesticity. Thoughts of Wee Willie Winkie, creeping up to bed, knobbled knees, night-capped and candle in hand.

Night-time wishes for a gentle tumble into a somnambulant world of bouncy white clouds and puppies (or Louboutins and ice-cold vodka). In dreamtime anything is possible.

An opportunity to escape the harsh realities of the day-to-days.

But scratch the surface and a deeper meaning unfolds. A terminal snuffing. The final journey into that dark night. A reminder to live the life we have. While we have it. Love the life we live. To make hay while the sun shines. Chance our chances, dance our dances, and have regrets too few to mention.

Then again, you could just wear it as talisman of fun. A celebration of a good night. Tonight. Tomorrow night. Every night.
