We are not sure how to date this carnelian. It certainly has age, we are just not sure how much. The image of the lion has definite ancient vibes, as does the gilding technique. The shape and condition however, is more in-keeping with a Victorian or Art Deco piece.

It’s a bit of a mystery. But it’s so cool we wanted to have it on our inventory, notwithstanding this lack of clarity.

This simple but powerful piece would be great for a Leo but the lion carries so much more meaning than the astrological woo-woo. Lions are synonymous with strength, courage, majesty and leadership (unless you are from Oz).
