Farewell Then, Don’t Forget Me Wax Seal
A deep green paste seal featuring Latin text ‘Vale tandem non immemor mei’ meaning ‘Farewell then, don’t forget me’
Why we love it
The text is in reference to the epic historical novel Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott, published in three volumes in December 1819.
Set in medieval England during the reign of King Richard I, it explores themes of chivalry, loyalty, and romance against the backdrop of social and political turmoil – has much changed in the past two hundred years?!
