Heraldic Dolphin
A sizeable purple paste mimicking amethyst seal featuring imagery of an heraldic dolphin, attitude ‘naiant’, that is, horizontally as though swimming.
Why we love it
Shown here in its heraldic form resembling a large fish with scales and fins, this dolphin very closely resembles the crest of Sidney Godolphin, 1st Earl of Godolphin (1645-1712).
