An antique fob with hand carved rock crystal featuring imagery of a sun crest with a shield comprising heraldic stars and stag head all finished with the most excellent Latin epithet of hedonists everywhere: ‘Despicio terrenna’ (I despise earthly things)

The mount is richly decorated with acanthus leaves and two banging ouroboros – took Emma a minute to spot, the BHE had to help but there they are, proud as punch, bottom centre of the fob’s circular shoulders.
