The Maiden. At least that’s what we call her!
She’s sold (sorry!) on a very special bespoke commission. But so breathtakingly beautiful she deserves a spotlight. Amirite?!
A signed piece. With the simple name ‘Brown’.
A little light research reveals this to be a certain Mr William Brown (1748-1825). Which puts The Maiden at the late 1700’s we reckon. Very bloody cool!
Mr B was a gem engraver who worked with James Tassie. Tassie being another gem engraving genius. And the very fine chap that popularised the whimsical seal with an impressively prolific output of ‘Tassie casts’.
Basically the dude that made Emma want to do what she does. So perhaps her two life heroes, Bruce Springsteen and Liz Taylor might need to shuffle up, make space and accept they are now a trio. Just imagine that dinner party?!
Please remember, if you’re interested in commissioning your own bespoke piece, be it a ring or a pendant you can have a perv through the ‘Custom Intaglios & Seals‘ section of our website. If nothing in there floats your particular boat then know that we have 300 of the naughty beauties in the actual physical library here. Contact us and we’ll find your little piece of perfect together.
Nothing brings Emma more joy. Honest.
Well, good food and hot sex maybe and not necessarily in that order.
But you can’t have it all can you, so intaglios it is!
