I Have Lost My Support Intaglio

A unique Georgian octagonal carnelian intaglio featuring imagery of a veiled woman leaning against a column, with the inscription ‘I have lost my support’

Why we love it

The lady on this incredible intaglio is clearly in mourning, as evidenced by the motto ‘I have lost my support’.

This piece speaks as to loss. That hollow, helpless feeling you get when your special someone, be it partner, pal or pet, has gone to the big fiesta in the sky.

The piece is so sentimental. Not the chirpiest, granted, but poetic, romantic and very, very special indeed.

She’s big!

Would work as a pendant or possibly a statement ring – those geometric shapes will look knockout fabulous!
