If I Lose It, I Am Lost Wax Seal
An antique, yellow paste seal featuring imagery of a sunflower turned to face the sun with overarching Latin/Italian motto ‘Si Deserts Perdo’ which translates to ‘If I Lose You, I Am Lost’ or literally ‘If You Abandon Me I Am Lost’
The seal shows age related wear with some nibbles around the edges that will be concealed in setting, there is minor scuffing to the surface of the seal but will not detract from beauty in wear, it will look splendid in setting

A powerful testament to the wonder of love and the sense of having your person
In French the sunflower is called a ‘tournesol’ which literally means turns to face the sun, apt indeed given that sunflowers do indeed rotate throughout the day so that they are continually facing the full beam of the sun, a bit like Emma on holiday but we don’t need to go into that……
So without the sun and its life giving rays the sunflower cannot survive, it will wither and perish and that is the metaphor for the benefits of whole and full love. Whether a partner, family member or friend, the notion that without this person, your sun, in your life, benevolently beaming down on your life, well then, you’d be a bit adrift and not able to achieve your full power, potential and joy
And Emma is not ashamed to say she loves that symbolism, needing someone is not weakness, quite the contrary, we are humans. Built for love and connection and community. Ain’t a damned thing wrong with knowing that, honouring that and wearing that proudly about your person in talismanic jewellery form
