Antique 15ct Gold & Pearl Crescent Necklace
A beautiful antique Victorian crescent brooch set with graduated split pearls, which has been carefully converted to a necklace with the addition of an antique Victorian belcher chain.
The crescent is crafted in rich yellow 15ct gold and the chain is warm yellow with a hint of rose 9ct gold.
The necklace fastens with a secure barrel clasp and also has a later added safety chain, which could be used to extend the length by 2″ should you so wish.

The Victorians loved sentimental and symbolic jewellery and crescent moons featured heavily in that era. Crescent moon brooches were often gifted to a bride by her groom on their honeymoon, the crescent moon symbolising femininity, change and new beginnings.
