Red Cancer (It’s a lobster – read the blurb!)

A vintage, dating to 190-70’s, red paste depicting cancer symbols with gold paint detailing to front and back.

I did not know this but Susannah Queen of Woo-Woo was on it like a car bonnet and let me know that this is a cancer. But not a crab?! How? Little known fact is that cancer was depicted as a lobster back in the day. Who knew?! If support were needed for this gem of a nugget of trivia you need only look to the symbols in the corner where you can see the ’69’ symbol denoting, without any room for doubt, cancer. 69 means something else entirely to Emma but there you have it folks.

An elongated octagon with faceted back.
14.1 x 10.1 x 5.4 mm.
Very good condition with light surface wear and some tiny nibbles to the crown edges. A small chip to the top right corner.

We have made these up for clients as pendants and rings previously and have not experienced notable loss to the gold detailing on the piece. However, please be aware that if you elect to have this mounted in silver, it is possible that some loss of gold detailing may occur.

All seals are sold as seen.
If you elect a silver setting lead times are 8-10 weeks.
Worldwide shipping is included in the price but customs duties and/or import taxes are the client’s responsibility.

Flown away home.
