We Part To Meet Again
A Victorian yellow paste mimicking citrine seal set as our Chonky Signet with a Halo of modern brilliant diamonds in recycled 18ct yellow gold.
Why we love it
Scissors…..they come apart and open wide and then you shut them again.
So the scissors are a metaphor for either someone travelling to distant lands, via ship, which takes yonks as it did in that there Victorian era.
Or, more likely, it’s an optimistic spin on being separated by death. As people frequently were in that there Victorian era.
What with the plague and assorted infernos and general dearth of all things sanitary.
Ah the impressive notion that those cruelly yanked away by Mr G Reaper are simply sat next door, waiting patiently for us in some utopian other place.
Bezel set as our chonky signet in recycled 18ct yellow gold with a halo of modern brilliant diamonds.
A ‘stunt’ closed back which we’ve developed for this piece which essentially gives all the vibrancy and light play provided by a closed gold back but with the cunning addition of narrow windows slits to allow for drainage. Put it all together and whaddaya got?
All the joy of a closed back with none of the downsides of restricted wear, we think/hope.
