An early Victorian clear paste seal which we have made into a doublet using an antique mother of pearl gamin chip.
French text ‘On ne peut revoquer le passe’, literally ‘one cannot revoke the past’.
Why we love it
A message to us all that what’s done is done and can’t be undone. Unless it’s your shoelaces.
Whilst we benefit from the wisdom and learnings from our past endeavours in both triumph and tragedy, there’s little to be gained, once you’ve made sense of it all and swallowed down the lessons sour and saccharin, in lamenting.
Be present, feel each moment. Let that shit go. Go on, I dare you.
