It Guides Me Well

This is a Victorian era clear paste seal that we have transformed into an iridescent wonder by making it into a doublet using an antique Mother of Pearl gaming chip.

Featuring imagery of plucky Cupid in his rowing boat at sea and French text ‘Il m’a bien guide’ which translates ‘It guides me well’.

Generously set in 14ct yellow gold as our Classic Pendant with a Diddy size fixed bail.

Why we love it

Depicted we see Cupid and his cherubic little wings hard at work in a sailing boat. The sail is up and has wind in it but he’s also hard at work with an oar

Cupid is symbolic or love, with the choppy waters representing our tumultuous lives

The talismanic purpose of the message is that love will put the wind in your sails and help you to pass smoothly through life, always travelling in the right direction. Essentially, let love be your guide

And here at BM HQ we think that is a most noble aim for any life
