And that is what this antique bloodstone paste seal is conveying to us.
Depicted the chubbiest of chubby hearts pierced clean through by a clinical dagger. Ouchie.
And the overarching motto in French which best translates as ‘Just say yes (already dammit)’ tells us all we need to know.
This is one for the romantics, the believers, the tenacious, the dumbass masochists that don’t know when to quit (and, trust me, I should know).
